Key Responsibilities
- Load-In & Logistics: Assist in unloading production vehicles and distributing equipment, furniture, and technical gear to designated areas.
- Infrastructure Assembly: Build and position structural elements including staging, trussing, pipe-and-drape, and modular displays.
- AV & Cable Management: Assist technicians with basic cable runs, ensuring all wiring is neatly managed and taped down (gaffed) for guest safety.
- Floor Plan Execution: Follow detailed layouts to arrange seating, decor, and signage with high attention to aesthetic detail.
Post-Event: Strike (The Teardown)
- Rapid Deconstruction: Efficiently dismantle all event elements immediately following the conclusion of the program.
- Inventory Control: Sort, wrap, and pack equipment into specialized road cases, ensuring all components are accounted for and protected for transit.
- Load-Out: Strategically reload vehicles to maximize space and ensure the safe transport of delicate equipment.
- Venue Restoration: Perform a final sweep of the site to remove debris and ensure the space is returned to the venue manager in pristine condition.
Requirements & Physical Demands
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended shifts (8+ hours).
- Punctuality: Events run on a strict "curtain time"; arriving on time for call-times is non-negotiable.
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with basic hand tools and a "safety-first" mindset.
- Communication: Ability to take direction well from Lead Leads and Project Managers in high-pressure environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in theater, concerts, weddings, or trade show environments.
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment or carpentry.
- A "can-do" attitude—no task is too small to help the show succeed.
