Event Staff Security

Overview

DK Security is Michigan’s fastest growing security company, established in 1995. We started as an investigations firm but now provide a variety of services including uniform security, event staff security, loss prevention, and more. Job Skills / Requirements

• Scope: Provide crowd control services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and conferences.
• Ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at large and small scale events.
• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• May not have any felony convictions and must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be available to work at minimum 4+ events per month.
• Must have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Physical requirements: Stand or walk for 4-8 hour shifts, respond to emergency situations, work in or outdoors during all seasons, hear conversations in noisy environments, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Safety and wellbeing of patrons, guests, and performers.
• Hospitality Security brand with all clients, guests, and co-workers.
• Access Control.
• Must follow venue specific guidelines.
• Foot Patrol.

Success as a Security Officer

• Reliability: Report for shifts on time, presentable, and in prescribed uniform.
• Friendly Personality: Balance expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
• Following Company and Client Policies: Read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined, and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
• Use of De-escalation Techniques: Defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
