EVENT SERVERS

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and teardown of off-site catering events according to client specifications
• Move and arrange tables, chairs, buffet tables, bar stations, and service areas as required
• Load and unload food, beverage, and equipment from catering vehicles
• Provide professional, attentive customer service to clients and guests
• Ensure proper assembly and presentation of all food and beverage items throughout the event
• Support the Event Manager and team to maintain smooth service flow
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces and equipment
• Adapt to changing event needs with a positive and team-oriented attitude

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of food and beverage serving experience (catering, hotel, or restaurant environment)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to carry three plates comfortably
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Serving It Right certification
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to follow direction and work efficiently in a team environment
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Valid BC driver’s license (asset, but not required)

Role Details

• Part-time position (approximately 10–20 hours per week)
• Average shift length: 6–10 hours
• Must be available a minimum of 2 days per week (1 weekday + 1 weekend day, or 2 weekend days)
• Schedule includes daytime, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts
• Hourly wage starting at $17 per hour (based on experience) + cash gratuities (typically $10–20 per hour)
