Key Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and teardown of off-site catering events according to client specifications
- Move and arrange tables, chairs, buffet tables, bar stations, and service areas as required
- Load and unload food, beverage, and equipment from catering vehicles
- Provide professional, attentive customer service to clients and guests
- Ensure proper assembly and presentation of all food and beverage items throughout the event
- Support the Event Manager and team to maintain smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces and equipment
- Adapt to changing event needs with a positive and team-oriented attitude
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of food and beverage serving experience (catering, hotel, or restaurant environment)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to carry three plates comfortably
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Serving It Right certification
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow direction and work efficiently in a team environment
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid BC driver’s license (asset, but not required)
Role Details
- Part-time position (approximately 10–20 hours per week)
- Average shift length: 6–10 hours
- Must be available a minimum of 2 days per week (1 weekday + 1 weekend day, or 2 weekend days)
- Schedule includes daytime, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts
- Hourly wage starting at $17 per hour (based on experience) + cash gratuities (typically $10–20 per hour)
