Responsibilities
- Provide technical consultation on the production strategy based on the unique event goals, scope, and vision.
- Oversee the design, setup, and configuration of all necessary control room elements to ensure a high-quality event for client productions.
- Determine the required hardware, equipment, and production assets needed for events and oversee the necessary testing and quality control on all items prior.
- Oversee the operational approach to fulfill the creative production needs for client events, including but not limited to:
- Technical direction
- Audio mixing
- Robotic cameras
- Virtual platforms
- Graphics
- Video playback
- Streaming
- Lighting design
- Teleprompter
- Execute virtual events on various virtual event platforms such as StreamYard, Wirecast, and VMix.
- Provide support for staging and creative lighting design.
- Use expert knowledge of production equipment to ensure optimization of all equipment configurations and setups.
- Use complex decision-making to recommend repair or replacement of equipment.
- Collaborate on the assessment and recommendation of solutions around overall strategy for studio and event spaces based on operational requirements.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with team members to ensure alignment on event procedures, scheduling, and production briefs as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in event production, broadcast, video production, or a similar field.
- 1+ years of experience in onsite, virtual, and hybrid live events.
- Studio production and event experience.
- Experience with control room equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software.
- Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms.
- Experience with Ross production environments and video switchers including Ultrix routers, Carbonite, and Ultra switchers.
- Experience with audio production systems including Yamaha audio consoles, Dante audio routing networks, Shure microphones, and intercom systems.
- Experience with Panasonic PTZ Cameras.
- Familiarity with post-production software including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.
- College degree in video production, broadcasting, communications, or a similar field.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to travel based on requirements and location of productions and service needs, including meetings at client offices and AVI-SPL VideoLink offices.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and perform overhead work.

Pay
Hourly rate ranges from $28.85/hr to $36.06/hr.
