Responsibilities
- Moving, arranging, assembly and disassembly of items needed for events
- Equestrian event set up and changeover may include assembly and disassembly of animal penning
- Cleaning and upkeep of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows; cleaning toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, arena seats, and trash cans
- Oversee and participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events
- Setting-up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment
- Oversee personnel and perform various duties to ensure day-to-day operations of the facility are met
- Loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash to proper disposal areas
- Reading and understanding layouts, measuring the floor accurately
- Aiding in training new hires or subcontracted services in the proper use of equipment
- Enforcing all policies and procedures of the facility
- Performing repairs and maintenance tasks
- Participating in execution of life safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to supervisor or manager
- Working extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays as needed
- Reviewing daily assignments and special projects
- Inspecting completed work to determine if it meets acceptable requirements
- Issuing supplies and equipment
- Compiling a list to order all necessary inventories of equipment and supplies
- Knowing or being able to operate an extractor machine
- Being able to work on elevated areas including ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts
- Assisting other Operations Department divisions to expedite set-up and teardown events whenever possible
- Performing other duties assigned
Qualifications
Must have the ability to read and understand layouts, and measure the floor accurately.
Must be able to work on elevated areas including ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts.
Must have the knowledge or be able to operate an extractor machine.
Must be able to perform other duties assigned.
