This position manages events from start to finish, including order entry, communication with event contacts, maximizing sales at each event, and reconciling all inventory and accounting paperwork post-event. Responsibilities also include receiving and sorting items in the Lenexa warehouse, as well as loading and unloading semi-trucks for various events.

Responsibilities

  • Enter all orders into the order entry system within one week of receiving the merchandise plan.
  • Strive to achieve an 85% sell-through of collegiate merchandise for each assigned site.
  • Complete operational plans for major collegiate events within one to two months of the event start date.
  • Turn over all event-related paperwork to the finance coordinator within one week of event conclusion.
  • Ensure usage of residual inventory at all conference championships and communicate reorder needs with the event or merchandise manager.
  • Travel on-site to major NCAA and Conference Events to manage inventory and sales opportunities; communicate travel plans at least one month in advance.
  • Communicate with host event sites before, during, and after events to maximize sales, verify receipt of items, handle reorders, and arrange returns for unsold goods.
  • Compile "Event in a Box" information in a timely manner for prompt shipping.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Assist the Finance Coordinator in communicating with site contacts regarding outstanding or delinquent information, payments, or assets.
  • Complete event recaps within the deadline set by the event manager.
  • Verify starting inventory and complete settlements with the site before and immediately after the event.
  • Load and unload semi-trucks in all weather conditions.
  • Work in the warehouse as needed or requested by the event manager.
  • Operate an electric pallet jack and electric reach truck to store and retrieve products in elevated racking systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent years of comparable experience.
  • Solid decision-making skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Knowledge and passion for collegiate sports strongly preferred.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in hot, humid conditions.
  • Willingness to adapt to various responsibilities and assist as needed.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and complete assigned tasks to achieve goals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Substantial travel required, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to be trained on warehouse equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, electric reach truck).

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, or crouch for extended periods.
  • Must be able to push, lift, and carry 40–50 pounds of merchandise and fixtures during store builds or truck unloading.
