About the role
Basis is looking for an Event Marketing Manager to build and execute a robust events program for the company. This role will be responsible for planning and running 40+ events per year, including customer community events, multi-city roadshows, industry trade shows, and intimate executive dinners. The ideal candidate will have a 0-1 mindset, brand instinct, strategic execution skills, and a ruthless organizational approach.
Responsibilities
- Plan and run 40+ events per year across various types, including customer community events, multi-city roadshows, 2,000+ person industry trade shows, and intimate executive dinners.
- Design pre-show outreach, on-site meeting programs, and post-event follow-up sequences to turn booth traffic and attendee engagement into qualified pipeline.
- Own event budgets, vendor relationships, and timelines.
- Build a repeatable, well-documented events playbook to enable the team to scale output without increasing effort.
- Measure event performance through to pipeline and use data to inform future strategies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience owning B2B events end-to-end, including conferences, trade shows, executive experiences, and customer community events.
- Ability to travel 15-25% (a handful of major, in-person conferences; the rest coordinated from NYC office).
- In-person 5 days a week in our Flatiron office (when not traveling).

Non-negotiables
- Enterprise event expertise: Experience supporting sales teams through high-touch event moments such as executive dinners, partner programs, and on-site meetings at major conferences.
- Accounting industry fluency: Familiarity with the accounting profession, industry associations like AICPA and state societies, and buyer personas across CPA firms.
- Tools and systems: Proficiency in event management platforms and CRM systems, with an eagerness to use AI to make the events function more efficient.

- Pipeline impact: Events become a top-three source of qualified pipeline, with clear attribution from event engagement to closed revenue.
- Operational scale: A repeatable, well-documented events playbook is in place that enables the team to scale output without increasing effort.
