About the role
Future B2B is seeking an Event Manager to own the end-to-end planning and execution of a range of live events within the B2B division. You will ensure flawless execution of event concepts, clear communication with stakeholders, streamlined processes, effective budget management, and understanding of each event's financial performance. The role is accountable for achieving operational excellence in logistics and is based in the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of live events, driving customer experience to an all-time high
- Oversee all aspects of event delivery, including creative concept, vision, communications, registration, set-up, technology, and logistics
- Work cross-functionally with internal and external partners on live events
- Conduct thorough site visits and present information to internal stakeholders
- Manage the overall timeline for event deliverables and stakeholders responsible for action (e.g., marketing, content, and sales)
- Support the development of concepts/solutions for custom event pitches
- Prioritize competing tasks, managing deadlines to execute on business impact
- Source, negotiate terms, and manage vendors/contractors for event production (e.g., venues, F&B, printers)
- Negotiate all costs related to show production, features, and staffing
- Manage insurance requirements
- Oversee conference producers, deadlines, and delivery milestones
- Manage sponsor communications and oversee deliverables
- Ensure accurate budget forecasts, maintenance, and reconciliation
- Liaise with sponsors to fulfill their operational contractual arrangements
- Produce post-event reports with recommendations and developments
- Manage Show Daily distribution at major trade shows, including hotel room drops and show floor distribution
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience at the event producer/event manager level, preferably in a conference or tradeshow environment
- Proven expertise in managing end-to-end planning and execution of live events, including high-profile and complex productions
- Proven experience in selecting and negotiating vendor contracts and managing supplier relationships (venues, food & beverage, AV, etc.)
- Proficiency in budget management, including accurate forecasting, tracking, and reconciliation
- Commercial awareness, understanding event revenue goals, sponsorship, and budget management
- Ability to direct and manage the event project team and oversee cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver under tight deadlines
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with sponsors, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges during event planning and execution

Pay
The expected range for this role is $57,000 - $65,000.
