About the role

The Event Manager is a key member of the Central Reservations Office (CRO) team. This position provides critical leadership in executing daily event operations across high-impact campus venues on the Main Campus, the Student Center, and Student Center Lawn. Overseeing a student staff of approximately 40–80 Event Assistants, the Event Manager ensures events are executed efficiently, facilities are maintained to a high standard, and clients receive responsive, service-focused support. The Event Manager plays an essential role in advancing campus engagement by coordinating event logistics for student organizations, university departments, and external partners. This position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Event Manager serves as a primary operational contact for event clients and campus partners, ensuring that events are executed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in executing daily event operations across high-impact campus venues, including the Main Campus, Student Center, and Student Center Lawn.
• Oversee a student staff of approximately 40–80 Event Assistants, ensuring efficient event execution and high facility standards.
• Coordinate event logistics for student organizations, university departments, and external partners.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for event clients and campus partners, delivering responsive and service-focused support.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards for event execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in facility operations and venue logistics.
• Event management experience, preferably in a university or large venue setting.

Pay

$35,589 – $63,978 per year (Recruitment Range)
Anticipated Hiring Range: $48,600 – $54,000

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday, with evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as needed. Work hours are typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM but may vary based on event requirements.
