Event Manager
About the role
Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of trade shows and events that support our strategic business objectives and strengthen customer engagement. Oversee all event-related activities, including identifying and assessing new trade show opportunities, managing exhibits, displays, and event signage, and partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver successful, high-impact experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute events from start to finish, ensuring alignment with strategic marketing and business goals.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop event concepts and strategies.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring that all activities are completed within financial constraints.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure contracts, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Develop event timelines and project plans, tracking progress and adjusting plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Oversee the logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, audio/visual requirements, catering, and transportation.
- Lead post-event evaluations, gathering feedback from stakeholders and using insights to improve future events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate events.
It would be great if you also had:
- Experience in B2B tradeshow events.
- Experience in the Intellectual Property, legal, tech, or finance space.
About the team
You will be joining the Intellectual Property Events Team at Clarivate and will work closely with two other Senior Event Managers. This is a highly collaborative role working with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Product Sales Managers, as well as many external contacts. You will report directly to the Director of Industry Marketing.
Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Remote role, located in the Greater Boston, MA area.
- Expected to travel to 2-3 events per quarter.
- Regular business hours in EST, with the opportunity to flex work hours while working in a global team.
Pay
The expected base salary for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 USD per year. This role is eligible for bonus earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
