Event Lead

About the Role

We are hiring an Event Lead primarily responsible for operating our gelato and coffee cart events. When events are not scheduled, you may be assigned as an in-store barista or gelato server at our Hermosa Beach location based on your availability. Most events occur on weekends, and some may be scheduled with as little as three days' notice.

Responsibilities

• Drive to the Marina Del Rey location to pick up the event truck.
• Prepare event supplies and load the event truck.
• Drive the event truck to the event location (including long-distance trips to places like Palm Springs or Temecula).
• Unload and set up equipment at the event.
• Serve customers during the event.
• Clean up, reload the truck, and return it to the Marina Del Rey location.

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and maneuvering.
• Follow specific directions for equipment safety and responsibility.
• Safely drive long distances.
• Communicate effectively with clients during events.
• Follow detailed instructions for event preparation and logistics.
• Work independently and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Stay organized, maintain a clean and safe working environment, and communicate regularly.
• At least 1 year of driving experience and a valid California Driver’s License.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience with manual labor.
• Availability on Saturdays and Sundays.

Additional Opportunities

To accommodate seasonal fluctuations in event schedules, you may pick up additional shifts as a gelato server or barista at our Hermosa Beach location. Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours, with occasional late-night shifts (up to 1 AM).
