Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Events Director, the Event Content Specialist administers the planning, idea generation, and execution of event content across virtual and in‑person experiences. The role owns the end‑to‑end content lifecycle—from call for proposals and speaker onboarding through live production and post‑event evaluation—to ensure programming aligns with ASQ goals, member needs, and industry best practices. The specialist acts as the primary liaison between ASQ, speakers, committees, and external production partners, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, engaging events.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in executing the annual content strategy for both virtual and in‑person events, ensuring alignment with ASQ goals and objectives.
  • Utilize the Cvent event management platform for event planning, tracking, and post‑event evaluation.
  • Establish and coordinate content planning for company‑hosted events.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between headquarters and speakers to ensure smooth communication and content delivery.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including technology platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex, Fonteva) setup and administration.
  • Support the Call for Proposal (CFP) process, including platform setup, proposal review cycles, and scoring.
  • Establish and maintain speaker onboarding standards to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Coordinate with Technical Programming Committees and act as staff liaison for content‑related decisions, ensuring alignment with event objectives and content quality.
  • Coordinate virtual member events, ensuring seamless delivery of content and a positive attendee experience.
  • Adhere to ASQ competencies: Trust, Accountability, Collaboration, and Transparency.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in meeting planning, project management, and virtual technology platform management.
  • Ability to comply with attendance and timeliness policies.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15 %.
  • This role is not eligible for U.S. immigration sponsorship (e.g., STEM OPT, TN, H‑1B, or other work visa).

Working Conditions

Hybrid office environment with Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the Milwaukee headquarters. Employees may work from home up to three days per week.

Location

ASQ’s downtown Milwaukee office is adjacent to major freeway exits, the Riverwalk, and a vibrant downtown economy, offering indoor and outdoor access to shopping, restaurants, and coffee shops. The historic building features newly designed workstations, sit/stand desk options, and collaborative spaces.

Compensation

Salary range: $60,000 – $73,000, with the final offer based on experience and overall fit.
