Event Center Positions - Seasonal

About the Role

Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is seeking energetic, customer-oriented, and organized seasonal/intermittent applicants for Event Center Operations positions at two locations:

• Rockwood Manor Retreats & Events in Potomac, MD
• The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek in Boyds, MD

These facilities are open year-round, with flexible work hours including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set up and tear down of tables and chairs for Park Event Centers.
• Assist with general cleaning of the facility.
• Interpret and understand written diagrams of event space to ensure proper placement of tables and equipment requested by clients.
• Take down and store equipment properly.
• Assist with maintaining and repairing equipment and building, as well as general facility and grounds cleaning.
• Lift 30 pounds frequently and 5-10 pounds constantly.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Some positions may require First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available).
• Must attend in-house orientation and complete a background investigation prior to hiring.

Pay

Starting at $15.45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Seasonal (part-time) positions with flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. These positions do not include benefits.
