EVENT CENTER BARTENDER
About the role
We assist in setting up and dismantling events. We prepare and serve nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages as needed. We enter all orders into Micros promptly. We anticipate guests' needs and follow service steps as outlined in the training manual. We total bills and accept payments according to internal controls. We communicate immediate guest comments or concerns to supervisors. We can adjust to non-consistent schedules and participate in scheduled Event Center events. We complete tasks assigned by supervisors. We adhere to HCCTR and all Food and Beverage policies and service standards. We deliver ACES Guest Service to every guest during every transaction. We enthusiastically support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service. We consistently provide the highest quality of food and service to ensure repeat visits. We ensure that all food and beverage outlets meet and/or exceed Health Department and OSHA guidelines. We maintain professional grooming and appearance and act as role models according to established grooming and appearance policy. We must qualify for a West Virginia Racing Commission license, Food Handlers certification, and TIPS certification.

- Prepare and serve nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages as required
- Enter all orders into Micros in a timely manner
- Anticipate and address guests' needs
- Follow service steps outlined in the training manual
- Total bills and accept payments according to internal controls
- Communicate immediate guest comments or concerns to supervisors
- Adjust to non-consistent schedules and participate in scheduled Event Center events
- Complete tasks assigned by supervisors

Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent; three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must qualify for a West Virginia Racing Commission license, Food Handlers certification, and TIPS certification.
