About the role
The Event Bartender is responsible for providing servers and Guests with drinks in a consistent and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Understands Steps of Service.
- Uses salesmanship to maximize sales.
- Checks ID’s to determine guest’s legal age and upholds all state and local liquor laws.
- Has a working knowledge of the food menu.
- Has a working knowledge of all beverages offered.
- Sets up for events by putting out chairs, tables, stage, tablecloths, bars, and place settings, etc.; arranges table placement and setting up a buffet.
- Tears down by storing equipment and materials neatly.
- Provides friendly and competent customer service.
- Completes all daily, opening and closing side work.
- Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
- Affords assistance with other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- Able to work the POS system efficiently.
- Able to pour beer, wine and liquor accurately to drink specs.
- Able to listen to guests, respond verbally and interact with Team Members.
- Able to read, write and perform math skills.
- Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Must be well groomed and follow the company uniform standards.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation and phone.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
Qualifications
- Restaurant, bartending or guest service experience preferred.
Skills
- POS system efficiency.
- Pouring accuracy.
