Event Activity Instructor
About the role
We're searching for enthusiastic Event Activity Instructors to join our Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines team. As an Event Activity Instructor, you'll deliver engaging, safe, and memorable program activities and events that help shape girls into confident leaders.
Responsibilities
- Deliver fun and educational programs to Girl Scouts.
- Plan and implement activities that meet the needs of event participants.
- Ensure a quality, safe program is offered by event staff.
- Ensure adult volunteers and girls follow safety and educational procedures during programs.
- Role model appropriate attitude and behavior to all participants and staff.
- Handle interactions professionally with girls, parents, volunteers, staff, and program partners.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping systems, including membership information, program evaluation data, and budget as assigned.
- Promote acceptance and understanding of girls from all backgrounds.
- Assist with preparation and on-site support of events and activities as needed.
- Actively support and promote the Council's and GSUSA's affirmative action plans and commitments to diversity.
- Support program staff in achieving stated Council goals.
- Follow established personnel policies and health, safety, and program standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of specific activity areas and necessary certifications to meet Safety Activity Checkpoints.
- Experience in implementing program activities.
- Prior experience working with children and adult volunteers.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules (evenings and weekends).
Pay
$16.00 per hour.
