Activities Instructor

Responsibilities

• Serves the club members by providing safe and effective group exercise classes that begin and end on time, as well as follow the scheduled written format.
• Motivates the members to achieve their fitness goals by offering positive encouragements and an enjoyable, non-competitive environment.
• Arrives on time for class (preferably 10 minutes prior to the scheduled class time) and stays after class to answer any questions for members.
• Adheres to the company’s and the industry’s guidelines for safe and effective exercise.
• Completes all administrative paperwork completely and on time. This includes monthly schedule request, address/phone number changes, and attendance numbers.
• Is responsible for finding substitutions. Also responsible for notifying the coordinator about all class substitutions that take place.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions on a regular basis.
• Attends in house workshops.
• Has current CPR/AED certification.
• Knows the company’s emergency policy and reports an incident to the club manager and Activities coordinator as soon as possible after the incident.
• Informs the coordinator of any equipment needs or malfunctions.
• Wears the uniform.
• Exemplifies a positive, fit, healthy image.
• Creates kids activities to promote the kids club program.
• Assists in children’s summer camps.
• Remember that he/she is a role model.

Requirements

• Teaches quality group exercise classes to children ages 6 to 13 in accordance with club standards.
• Adheres to the company’s and the industry’s guidelines for safe and effective exercise.
• Completes all administrative paperwork completely and on time.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions on a regular basis.
