Essential Functions
- To use coaching techniques to help students and customers improve their skills, gain confidence and operate safely.
- To engage participants with a fun, enthusiastic and helpful attitude that enhances their experience.
- To establish positive working relationships with participants to encourage active engagement, participation and future business.
- To set up activities ready for engagement and use.
- To prepare and check equipment and ensure it is stored appropriately at the end of each session.
- To ensure that all safety standards are adhered to at all times and safety checks are completed as specified.
- To welcome and serve customers in a professional manner and in accordance with our culture and vision.
- To promote the center, activities and courses.
- To conduct yourself in accordance with the centers' purpose, vision and culture.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in leading instructional classes/programs
Physical Demands
- The work is light work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- The work may require specific physical characteristic and abilities such as heightened strength, mobility, dexterity and full range of motion.
- Use of hands, arms, and legs and other motor skills used for activity.
- Ability to work periods of time in varying degrees of weather.
- The following additional physical abilities are also required: manual dexterity, hearing, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, visual acuity and walking.
- Work involves administering first aid as necessary and is subject to the final standards of OSHA blood borne pathogens.
- Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals are minimally required.
- Employee is subject to exposure to loud noise, bending, kneeling, walking on slippery surfaces, and squatting.
- Uses senses of vision, hearing and smell to diagnose problems.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in leading instructional classes/programs
Special Requirements
- Possession of a valid North Carolina Class Driver’s License.
- Certification for activity/class for which you are applying is strongly desired.
- Ability to obtain certification in CPR, AED and First Aid.
- Incumbent must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoon, evening, nights and weekend that average from 4 - 10 hours per week.
