Evening/Weekend Sports Board Operator

About the role

CUMULUS MEDIA | Providence is seeking a Part-Time Associate Producer/Technical Operator (Board Operator) to provide programming and control console support. This role primarily involves operating live sports broadcasts and supporting other local and syndicated programming. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced media environment, and demonstrates extreme reliability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate the console in a radio station control room broadcasting live sports events, as well as a variety of live or pre-recorded local and syndicated entertainment programs.
• Play all commercials as scheduled and maintain a commercial and transmitter log.
• Monitor and update weather, traffic, and news reports as needed.
• Monitor for EAS Alerts, Amber Alerts, and breaking news.
• Monitor the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming from the master control room.
• Coordinate network and local commercial breaks during live sports broadcasts.

Requirements

• Previous control console operation experience preferred.
• Audio production skills preferred.
• Ability to learn FCC rules and regulations and EAS guidelines.
• Proficient using computer systems such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Audition, or other audio editing software preferred.
• Familiarity with audio mixers preferred.
• Flexibility in scheduling required; majority of the hours are in the evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

USD $16.00 per hour.
