About the role

Jersey College is seeking a Registered Nurse Instructor to work evenings in the OB/PEDS program. This position provides clinical instruction at various healthcare settings and is dedicated to fostering the academic growth and professional development of students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
  • Create a supportive and educational environment for students.
  • Prepare and submit student progress and grade reports.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and evaluate student competence based on program objectives.
  • Evaluate student learning and clinical experience using appropriate assessment tools.
  • Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
  • Supervise students in the clinical setting and deliver effective lessons.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
  • Current active New Jersey RN license.
  • At least 3 years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Prior teaching experience in nursing is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Organized and capable of prioritizing tasks.
  • Experience supervising students in clinical settings.
  • Knowledgeable in the field of OB/PEDS nursing.

Skills

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to teach at the level of an RN or PN student.
  • Knowledgeable in the area of nursing specialization.
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse contributing to student learning.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This position works evenings from 5:30 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday.
