The Bostonian is a spacious, recently renovated 121-bed skilled nursing facility with a unique neighborhood setting conveniently located in metro Boston, MA, accessible by public transportation. We are a preferred post-acute provider for major acute care hospitals in the Boston area, offering short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care.
About the role
Evening shift (3pm–11pm) Nurse Supervisor at 337 Neponset Ave, Dorchester, MA.
Responsibilities
- Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges
- Supervise and mentor nurses and CNAs to foster growth and learning in the clinical team
- Manage staffing changes
- Support family inquiries and screen visitors
- Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions
- Ensure high-quality resident/patient care
- Provide support to ancillary staff as needed
Requirements
- Valid, unencumbered LPN or RN state license and current CPR certification
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- One year of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center, or other related healthcare setting
- Experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills
- Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred
- Bilingual proficiency preferred but not required
