Evening Nurse Supervisor RN LPN

About the role

The Bostonian is a spacious, recently renovated 121-bed skilled nursing facility located at 337 Neponset Ave, Dorchester, MA. Conveniently situated in metro Boston, MA, it provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care services to patients from major acute care hospitals in the area.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges
• Supervise and mentor nurses and CNAs, fostering growth and learning in the clinical team
• Manage staffing changes
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions
• Ensure high quality resident/patient care
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed

Requirements

• Must possess a valid, unencumbered LPN or RN state license and current CPR certification
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• One year of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center, or other related healthcare setting
• Experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred
• Bilingual proficiency preferred, but not required, to meet the needs of a diverse workforce and patient population
