Responsibilities

  • Maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Manage adequate inventory of parts, supplies, tools, and material for the department.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as fire alarms, and other life-safety situations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all federal, state, local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structures of the property, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and any other related equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas.
  • Receive daily work assignments and review priorities and special projects.
  • Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
  • Perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work orders, as needed.
  • Assist other engineering/maintenance personnel as instructed by Director of Engineering in regard to routine and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in the facilities management of related properties or other comparable business.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Extensive working knowledge of building systems to include but not limited to: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofs, building finishes, mechanical operations, energy management, and Preventative Maintenance Programs.
  • Experience in a comparable AAA Four Diamond/Four Star hotel or higher is highly desired.
  • Ability to work the overnight shift, including on weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions.
  • Possess visual and auditory ability to identify equipment issues and respond to emergencies.

Pay

$28.00 - $30.00/hour
