About the Role
Promotes quality customer service and processes sales and registration transactions. Acts as the first point of contact for potential and current Goldfish customers, presenting a positive image for the company. This role offers a fun work environment, paid training, and flexible shifts ideal for students or those seeking extra hours. Advancement opportunities are available due to rapid school growth.
Responsibilities
- Answers telephones, responds to inquiries, takes messages, and directs phone calls professionally.
- Processes student registrations using effective sales and customer service techniques.
- Schedules and manages birthday and pool parties, supervising private party staff.
- Resolves customer concerns and complaints with a professional approach.
- Assists members with purchases of merchandise and vending items.
- Greets parents and students at the front desk and checks in students using the attendance tracking system.
- Maintains cleanliness of the front desk, Snack Shack, changing areas, restrooms, and observation area.
- Monitors the Snack Shack area and provides guidance to Snack Shack staff.
- Checks voicemail and email correspondence, responding in a timely manner.
- Updates informational displays with accurate and timely promotions and literature.
- Provides administrative support to management, including the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
- Makes collection calls to resolve open account problems.
- Prepares twice-daily student lesson schedules for instructors and management staff.
- Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and administers first aid when necessary.
- Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be willing to train as a swim instructor.
- Ability to work with children.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Must pass background examinations (included with training).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Intermediate-level computer skills using Word, Excel, and other software systems.
- Shallow Water Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required (can be obtained through Goldfish Swim School after training).
