Evaluation and Referral Clinician PRN
About the role
Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is looking for a dynamic Evaluation and Referral Clinician to work in an engaging environment with a team of professionals dedicated to the healing and health of the patients we serve. Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140-bed hospital offering inpatient services for adolescents, adults, military, veterans and first responders. The hospital has a spacious cafeteria, gymnasium, art/activity room, group rooms, classrooms and other areas to create a pleasant atmosphere for patients and their families. Quality services are provided by psychiatrists, licensed therapists, certified alcohol and drug counselors, activity therapists and teachers, with care given by registered nurses 24 hours a day. Since 1986, Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System has been a proven psychiatric care provider in mental health and substance abuse.
Responsibilities
- Facilitation of requests for services
- Resource referral
- Assessment of patient/family clinical needs
- Interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, and other payers
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field, and/or currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the state of Kentucky
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, patient evaluations and information reports
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the community
- Ability to communicate on an effective level with physicians, patients, referral sources, and staff from a variety of disciplines
- Completion of CPR course and completion of HWC within 90 days of employment
