About the role

The role involves diagnosing and repairing EV charging stations, performing upgrades, managing testing requirements, and servicing various electronic equipment including security and POS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair various issues, including hardware replacement and electrical system maintenance.
  • Perform OEM testing and manage testing requirements such as torque, thermal imagery, insulation, and performance reports.
  • Locate and fix ground faults, communicate with colleagues and customers regarding scheduling, and provide work status updates.
  • Review work orders, manuals, and drawings to perform maintenance and service of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, replace/repair electro-mechanical devices like cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, and alarms.
  • Complete service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely manner, ensuring all requests are handled professionally.
  • Utilize various testing devices, hand, and power tools related to the job.
  • May be temporarily assigned to other areas for new installations and upgrades.

Requirements and Skills

  • One+ year experience working in an electrical capacity or relevant education.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with EV Charging Stations or other power-related electronics is preferred.
  • Electrical certifications or licenses are beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow safety protocols.
  • CPE250 Standalone, CPE250 Paired, CT4000, and CPF50 training is advantageous.
  • 24/7 on-call rotation with other techs in your area.
  • Experience with various POS systems (Verifone/NCR) and alarm systems is helpful.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A good driving record is required.
  • Proficiency in using a computer and smartphone.
