About the role
This is a creative and strategic role within the agency, involving the composition and delivery of original music and sound design for high-profile advertising campaigns. The position requires close collaboration with creative teams to bring narrative and emotion to life through audio, working on projects for major global brands such as Eurosport, Under Armour, KFC, Uber Eats, and Nike.
Responsibilities
- Compose and produce original music scores for a wide range of broadcast and digital advertising campaigns.
- Collaborate with creative directors, copywriters, and art directors to interpret briefs and develop audio concepts that enhance the storytelling.
- Create and present sonic mood boards, demos, and final mixes that align with the strategic and emotional goals of each project.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring high-quality audio output.
- Work within project timelines and budgets, coordinating with producers and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Source, record, and edit sound effects and Foley as needed to support the musical composition.
- Participate in creative brainstorms and contribute innovative ideas for audio direction on new business pitches and existing client work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a composer for advertising, film, television, or other media, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of styles and genres.
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Logic Pro, Pro Tools, or Ableton Live.
- Deep understanding of music theory, harmony, rhythm, and orchestration.
- Ability to interpret a creative brief and translate it into effective, emotive soundscapes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, delivering work to tight deadlines.
- Experience working with sample libraries, synthesizers, and recording equipment.
- An established network of session musicians and vocalists is a plus.
