Ethics Officer-PT
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the General Counsel, the Ethics Officer-PT serves as a senior staff member within the Office of the General Counsel. This position plays a critical role in overseeing and implementing City Colleges of Chicago’s Board Ethics Policies and ensuring compliance with ethical standards. The Ethics Officer-PT provides expert advice concerning ethical matters, handling inquiries, violations, and related training efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Oversees City Colleges of Chicago’s Board Ethics Policies
- Addreses ethical inquiries and reports of ethical violations
- Develops and provides ethics training sessions for faculty, staff, and administrators
- Produces an annual ethics report outlining significant developments during the prior fiscal year
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Juris doctorate is a plus
- At least five years of ethics or compliance experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Ability to function in a high-level position requiring utmost confidentiality, discretion, tact, and judgment
