Summary Of Responsibilities

Maintains and operates uranium enrichment equipment and production-related machinery at URENCO USA and ETC to produce enriched uranium while ensuring the health and safety of employees and the integrity of plant assets.

Ensures compliance with high standards of human performance and safety.

Education And Experience

  • Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years working in a manufacturing environment, experience in manufacturing methods, policies, and standards.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, 5+ years working in centrifuge assembly environments, experience in manufacturing methods, policies, and standards.

Job Details

  • Location: Urenco USA, Eunice, NM
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, some nights and weekends may be required, subject to call-outs.
  • Travel: Yes, 10% of the time
  • Security Clearance: CAA Access; L or Q level
  • Physical Demands: Walking, standing, pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds, lifting up to 20 pounds, climbing stairs, working in low light, confined spaces, near moving parts, radiation, risk of electrical shock, chemicals, vibration, outdoor with extreme cold, heat, wet or humid conditions.

Primary Functions

  • Understand and implement ETC TC21 and TC12 centrifuge reference design, knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, interactions between complex mechanical systems, and relevant international standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical procedures and process diagrams for centrifuge assembly and installations.
  • Apply ETC factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, and manufacturing qualification program requirements.
  • Develop efficient centrifuge production strategies and manage analysis and calculations to resolve production challenges.
  • Perform maintenance, planning, and production functions, interface with the Maintenance Department, and manage work management system.
  • Perform complex operational tasks and assignments, employ sound radiological and chemical work practices, and ensure ALARA principles are adhered to.
