Estimator- Structural Steel Division

Responsibilities

• Initial contact with General Contractors for scope/schedule information
• Coinciding with other estimators and project teams
• Reaching out to Subs/Vendors for pricing
• Building and reviewing final estimates
• Creating bid forms and scope letters for final submittals
• Maintaining progress status of all projects pursued by the organization

Qualifications

• High School diploma and at least 2 years of estimating experience
• Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills
• Attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, and exhibits discipline day in and day out
• Balances and prioritizes workload amongst several different projects at one time
• Exhibits innovative and creative ways to continuously cut costs off estimates
• Breaks down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues, can simplify and process complex issues, understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts
