Responsibilities
- Act as liaison between contractors, field personnel, client, executive staff and contract management on issues and complex matters
- Review of orders on contract for contract/procedural compliance
- Manage all orders on contract for projects within the Division of Construction - Region 5
- Estimate and negotiate orders on contract with contractors in accordance with the contract
- Afford assistance with the review of project claims when requested
- Develop cost estimates for project teams
Requirements
- For Estimator: Shall possess, at a minimum, four (4) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals.
- For Sr. Estimator: Shall possess, at a minimum, six (6) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with construction estimating software - i.e. Means CostWorks
Qualifications

- For Sr. Estimator: Shall possess, at a minimum, six (6) years of experience respectively, in cost estimating, including the cost preparation/review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects, along with the review/negotiation of cost proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or associates degree with 2 years of construction estimating experience, OR associates degree with four (4) years of construction estimating experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with construction estimating software - i.e. Means CostWorks
