Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Estimator to manage bid processes from start to finish, including cost analysis, CPM scheduling, bid strategy, and documentation transfer post-winning bids. The role involves leading a team of estimators, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and participating in hiring and mentoring efforts.

Responsibilities

• Manage bid activities from initial cost analysis through final submission
• Review project specifications and develop detailed estimates
• Analyze risks and prepare bid presentations for senior management
• Lead a team of estimators and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Stay informed on market trends and construction methodologies
• Participate in hiring and mentoring efforts

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management
• At least 10 years of heavy civil experience
• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in the U.S.
• Expertise in FDOT bridge and roadway construction, foundations, utilities, earthwork, and safety standards
• Knowledge of various contract types and construction methodologies
• Proficiency in software tools such as Primavera P6, Heavy Bid, and Bluebeam
