Estimator – Electrical Utility Construction

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and field data to produce accurate takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive proposals.
• Build comprehensive proposals for utility and energy clients.
• Collaborate with project managers and field leaders to validate means and methods, assess risks, and support budget handoff after project award.
• Contribute to safe and reliable power infrastructure through a blend of office estimating and occasional site visits.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong analytical skills for interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in cost estimation, bid development, and vendor negotiations.
• Ability to assess project risks and support project planning.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with project teams.
• Knowledge of power infrastructure projects and safety standards.
