Estimator II – Electrical Utility Construction

Role: Estimator II for transmission, distribution, and substation projects. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for utility and energy projects.Review drawings, specifications, and field data to create accurate material/labor takeoffs.Solicit, evaluate, and compare pricing from vendors and subcontractors.Build complete proposal packages aligned with project scope and requirements.Collaborate with project managers and field leaders to validate means and methods.Assess project risk and incorporate findings into estimates and bids.Support budget handoff after award. Required Qualifications & Skills Strong estimating and cost modeling skills for power infrastructure work.Proficiency interpreting construction documents and performing detailed takeoffs.Ability to evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes and manage bid inputs.Sound risk assessment and coordination with operations and leadership.Commitment to safe, reliable project execution.
