Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for commercial construction projects
- Perform electrical take-offs and develop comprehensive bid packages
- Utilize your knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) to ensure compliance in all projects
- Manage change orders and communicate any changes or potential risks to the project manager promptly
- Participate in project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring of projects
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Regularly review and update estimates, taking into account any changes in materials, labor, or other factors
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial construction projects
- Proficient in NEC and other relevant codes and regulations
- Experience in project management and familiarity with project management tools and software
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and the latest industry trends
- Proficient in electrical take-off and bid preparation
- Experience managing change orders and communicating changes effectively
Pay
$90,000 - $170,000 per year
