Estimator - Commercial

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to produce accurate, competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. The Estimator will support preconstruction and bidding activities, collaborate with project teams and subcontractors, and help drive informed decision-making through detailed cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, detailed, and timely cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial projects, including takeoffs, material, labor and equipment costs.
• Analyze design documents, drawings, specifications and RFPs to identify scope, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractor and supplier quotes; develop bid comparisons and recommendation summaries.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, designers and owners during preconstruction to align scope, schedule and budget.
• Maintain and update estimating databases, historical cost data, assemblies, and unit price libraries.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience as an Estimator on commercial construction projects.
• Experience with projects in Commercial, Retail, Education, Healthcare, Medical, Office, Retail, Senior Living, Government, Hospitality, Multifamily, and others.
• Typical projects range from $10M–$60M.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial estimating fundamentals: accurate takeoffs, unit costing, assemblies, and bid preparation.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling impacts, and trade scopes in commercial sectors.
• Proficiency with industry estimating software and takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating, etc.).
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.

Pay

$100K–$160K (salary depends on experience)
