Commercial Estimator

About the role

The Commercial Estimator will help ECCO Supply grow our existing sales of mechanical equipment, grilles and other related product to our Bid & Spec customer base. The role involves accurately and efficiently taking off plans, itemizing products and equipment in preparation for quoting, and performing all duties in a timely and orderly fashion with due care, integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service that strengthens ECCO Supply’s commercial relationships.
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers, coworkers, suppliers, and ECCO employees.
• Comply with ECCO’s Health & Safety and HR Policies and Procedures and support ECCO’s Safety Program.
• Model safe behavior and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all quotes while striving to maintain maximum profit margin and market share.
• Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted.
• Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
• Identify and solicit potential clients.
• Assist in internal branch operations to ensure Customer Service is properly maintained.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, HVAC, Business, Project Management, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in Bid & Spec estimating preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Strong technical, communication and presentation skills to assist customers with proper HVAC selection.
• Proficient in MS Office, estimating software, and CRM systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong customer service orientation and business integrity.
