Estimator - Body Shop - Collision Repair Estimator

About the role

Full-time Body Shop Estimator position at ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac’s Collision Repair Center in Ballwin, MO. This role involves preparing timely, accurate appraisals for all incoming collision repairs and requires excellent knowledge of the automotive repair industry.

Responsibilities

• Estimate parts and labor to repair damage using standard automotive labor and parts-cost manuals and knowledge of automotive repair.
• Examine damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.
• Review repair-cost estimates with the Body Shop Manager and complete necessary insurance and collision repair forms.
• Assist in scheduling work for Body Shop technicians and conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
• Provide superior customer service to all potential repair orders and promote ELCO’s Collision Repair Center’s services and facilities.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with Direct Repair Programs (DRPs) and prepare work orders/estimates accordingly.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record within the last 3 years (DUI/DWI).
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Willingness to take a pre-employment drug screening test.
• At least 3 years of recent or current automotive collision estimator experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Reynolds and Reynolds operating systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Pay

Competitive salary starting at $75,000+ depending on experience, plus production bonus.
