Job Responsibilities
- Review bid documents to understand the project and develop meaningful preconstruction RFI's
- Prepare bid deliverables, including detailed quantity take-off, thorough scope sheets, clarifications/exclusions and variance reports of assigned trades of work
- Provide in-depth knowledge of your assigned trades of work in order to walk trade partners through scope and ensure accurate proposals
- Reach out to trade partners, suppliers and vendors to obtain proposals through phone calls, and any other means necessary
- Build/maintain relationships with trade partners, suppliers and/or vendors
- Provide a positive and consistent customer experience with both internal/external team members ensuring there are no surprises throughout the estimating process
- Submit a complete and on-time bid with no exceptions
- Complete site visits as necessary
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent, with associated experience
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating at the General Contractor (GC) or trade partner level or Related construction experience preferred
- Ideal candidate must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Destini software is a plus
- Must be proficient in Blueprint Reading, Quantity Take-off, and construction knowledge
- Must have excellent communication skills with team members both internally and externally
