About the role
Cox Engineering is looking to add a talented Estimator to our Estimating Team.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years’ experience in HVAC estimating preferred
- Proven ability to work closely and efficiently with clients and co-workers in a professional, business environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Word and Excel

- Team mindset
- Knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems
- Ability to multi-task, self-motivate and handle multiple projects at one time
- Reviewing project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and project requirements
- Developing cost estimates based on the scope of work, including materials, labor, and equipment
- Collaborating with project managers and other team members to identify opportunities to reduce costs
- Conducting site visits to gather information and assess project requirements
- Communicating with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and availability information for materials and equipment
- Preparing and submitting bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and project timelines
