Estimator
Responsibilities
- Oversee the compilation of bids and estimates for construction and design build projects.
- Provide quantitative analysis of construction costs.
- Analyze trends, bid success rates, competitor pricing, and project budget lifecycles.
- Work directly with the Purchasing Manager to buy out construction trades within budget.
- Develop construction schedules, including cost-loaded schedules.
- Communicate directly with and build relationships with subcontractors from various trades.
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids for project compliance.
- Work directly with assigned Project Managers to finalize project budgets.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years minimum experience estimating projects, including public projects - design-build experience is a plus.
- Good management, time management and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with requirements of contracts specifications and drawings.
- Knowledge in construction contractual language.
- Understanding of unit rates for all trades of construction.
- Strong understanding of unions and local material markets.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required while SharePoint, Procore, and Primavera P6, a plus.
- Excellent communication, writing and financial tracking skills.

This is a full-time, in-person position in our New York City Office located in lower Manhattan.
