Tasks

• Review and interpret project documents, blueprints, and specifications thoroughly to understand scope and requirements
• Calculate and compile costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services with accuracy and attention to detail
• Prepare detailed bid proposals that reflect project scope, timelines, and costs, ensuring competitiveness and profitability
• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers to gather information and refine estimates
• Maintain and update estimating databases and documentation for future projects and reference

Job Skills

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project data and technical drawings
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent tools
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and industry standards
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all calculations and documentation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Good understanding of safety regulations and building codes relevant to estimating activities
