About the role
The Estimator supports our estimating and operations teams by managing bid information, preparing proposals, tracking bids, and maintaining project data. This role is ideal for someone who has worked around construction projects especially pavement markings, roadway striping, or similar trades and understands how accurate estimating directly impacts the field crews and project success.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Estimator on daily priorities, upcoming bids, and deadlines.
- Cook up the full bid process from start to finish, including pulling plans, specs, and addenda.
- Organize bid documents, proposal templates, and invitations to bid.
- Research plan holder lists and identify competitors.
- Prepare and distribute proposals.
- Follow up with bidders to confirm receipt and determine bid results.
- Support bid day activities including last-minute changes and contractor calls.
- Set up and maintain projects in the company database.
- Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy project files.
- Maintain contractor and customer contact lists.
- Monitor accuracy and quality of estimates and proposals.
- Provide general office and team support as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in construction, pavement marking, road striping, traffic control, or similar field-related work strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service and follow-up skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Microsoft Project a plus.
- Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications preferred.
- Highly organized and detail focused.
- Valid driver’s license.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Communications, or related field OR three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven construction environment preferred.
Work Environment
- Office-based role supporting active field operations.
- Occasional lifting of office or project materials may be required.
