Job Summary
Provide estimates for assigned project(s) of medium size and complexity either directly or through subordinate personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
- A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through the completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field;
- Two-years' experience as electrical estimator.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the electrical construction industry.

- Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform takeoff and counts of drawings.
- Solicitation and review of vendor and subcontractor quotes.
- Formulate top sheet.
- Collect necessary pre-bid information including discussion of scope or project and schedule with general contractor and competitors competing in bid.
- Determine project type and estimating parameters required: labor rate, permit costs, material mark-up and tax adjustments for project location.
- Draft estimates on pricing sheets and collect other necessary proposal documents, such as scope letters.
- Absorb and present bid information to the Chief Estimator.
- Assist Chief Estimator in final presentation of bid and sending out proposals.
- Participate in planning or bid transition meetings as required.
- Follow post bid closeout procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
- Required to maintain a valid driver’s license depending on the project.
