Job Description

A bit about us: We are on the hunt for a seasoned Estimator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Developing comprehensive, detailed project estimates and bids from blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Analyzing and comprehending project plans and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Congducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
• Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Maintaining a comprehensive database of current and accurate pricing information.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimation.
• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in project estimation, project bidding, and blueprint reading.
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant estimation software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions with little oversight.
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.

Pay

$70,000 - $100,000 per year
