Estimator

Job Responsibilities

• Perform take-offs, identify relevant drawings and details, and review specifications
• Identify door and hardware products that gives us a competitive advantage while still meeting the requirements of the project
• Efficiently communicate and work with customers, vendors, and architects to be sure we are providing the best solution to meet the needs of the project
• Accurately input door, frame, and hardware info into estimating software (Comsense)
• Provide clear and precise proposal to customer
• Follow-up on all bids to ensure customer is happy with scope and price

Requirements

• Reading plans & specifications
• Experience using industry specific estimating software (Comsense or Pro-tech)
• Familiar with Construction Industry Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook & Bluebeam
• Excellent mathematical aptitude & problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively perform in an advanced, fast-paced environment both individually as well as part of a team
• Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, positive and helpful demeanor and possess excellent customer service skills

Qualifications

• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and successfully complete random screens

• Advanced estimating software proficiency (Comsense or Pro-tech)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Mathematical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently
