About the role

Fisk Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking an Estimator to join their office in Houston, TX. Since 1913, Fisk has been one of the nation's leading providers for the design, installation and maintenance of electrical systems, structured cabling applications, integrated electronic security systems, and building technology solutions. Notable projects include Formula 1 and City Center projects in Las Vegas for MGM, data center projects, T-Mobile Arena, UNLV, DAS Projects for 5G services as well as high end retail stores such as Gucci, Fendi, Neiman Marcus and Tapestry.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for multiple systems on Technical, Health Care or Industrial projects
• Lead fully engineered estimates up to $5M
• Understand the concepts and process of conceptual estimates and budgets up to $1M
• Review the scope specified within the proposal and ensure estimates include appropriate scope
• Develop detailed cost estimates and proactively identify deficiencies and/or questions; actively assist the project team toward the answers
• Review contract documents and contract modifications to determine scope of work and equitable cost allowance for scope changes
• Proficient with estimating software
• Working knowledge of McCormick and Bluebeam
• Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Review Estimate take-offs
• Understanding and familiarity with NEC
• Mentor Estimator Trainees & Estimator 1 staff

Requirements

• Four year Construction/Engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related career experience
• Two or more years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor
• One plus years recent Electrical Estimating experience with on-screen take-off experience preferred
• Computer literate and able to quickly master and apply department’s computer systems and software
