Responsibilities
- Review all damage reports and photographs to determine the full extent of repairs needed.
- Thoroughly inspect vehicles and document all visible damage.
- Write accurate and complete repair estimates using CCC ONE and Mitchell Estimating systems.
- Enter customer and insurance company notes into CCC ONE.
- Enter detailed estimate line notes and upload labeled photos into CCC ONE.
- Verify whether customer insurance policies cover OEM or aftermarket parts and explain the differences to customers.
- Check availability of non-OEM parts while writing original estimates.
- Follow up on estimates not scheduled within 24 hours and make additional attempts to secure repairs.
- Review all damages with customers during drop-off appointments, including prior and accident-related damage.
- Review completed repairs with customers during vehicle delivery.
- Address customer concerns professionally and provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process.
- Handle obvious total loss vehicles and non-drivable vehicles.
- Absorb incoming phone calls as needed.
- Order parts and materials needed to complete repairs.
- Verify incoming parts and mirror-match replacement parts with damaged parts.
- Organize parts and distribute them to technicians.
- Return incorrect or damaged parts to suppliers.
- Schedule repairs and coordinate with production staff to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain repair progress and ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare invoices upon completion of repairs.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Previous estimating, collision repair, auto body, automotive, or insurance-related experience preferred.
- CCC ONE and Mitchell Estimating experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Automaticism knowledge and common-sense understanding of vehicle parts and repairs.
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, vendors, and coworkers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, and walk throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance available when needed.
- Ability to work in both office and shop environments.
