Job Summary

Quantum North America is a leading design-build firm specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Installation, and Energy Engineering solutions. We seek a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Project Estimator to develop accurate job cost proposals and clearly defined scopes of work for commercial and industrial HVAC projects.

Position Responsibilities

- Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to define scope and estimating requirements. - Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate existing HVAC systems and gather accurate data for proposals. - Develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. - Prepare, submit, and manage competitive bid proposals aligned with project specifications and client expectations. - Identify project sales opportunities and support estimating efforts to help secure new business. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on project needs, timelines, and budget constraints. - Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing and quality performance. - Maintain and update supplier and subcontractor databases, pricing, and historical cost information. - Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and materials to maintain accurate and competitive estimates. - Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and construction kick-off meetings to support project planning and client communication. - Assist project managers with change management, schedule development, procurement coordination, and cost control. - Resolve project-related issues in a timely manner to support efficient project execution and client satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience equivalent. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record. - Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage and coordinate teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders. - Proficient in estimating and project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to interpret project specifications, plans, and technical drawings.
