About the role
As an Estimator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a seamless repair process for both customers and insurance partners. You’ll examine and assess all damaged vehicle parts requiring repair, replacement, or repainting, prepare detailed repair cost estimates and complete necessary insurance documentation, communicate with customers about vehicle damage, timelines, and repair costs in a clear and professional manner, collaborate with technicians and production teams to ensure timely and efficient repair completion, draft work orders, enter repair information into CollisionRight’s system, and maintain detailed repair records. You’ll also negotiate effectively with insurance partners to ensure fair and accurate payment for repair work.
Responsibilities
- Examine and assess all damaged vehicle parts requiring repair, replacement, or repainting
- Prepare detailed repair cost estimates and complete necessary insurance documentation
- Communicate with customers about vehicle damage, timelines, and repair costs in a clear and professional manner
- Collaborate with technicians and production teams to ensure timely and efficient repair completion
- Draft work orders, enter repair information into CollisionRight’s system, and maintain detailed repair records
- Negotiate effectively with insurance partners to ensure fair and accurate payment for repair work
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in the collision repair or automotive industry
- Solid knowledge of repair processes, materials, and techniques
- Strong understanding of vehicle structure and component replacement
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. (occasionally up to 70 lbs.) and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, or crouching as needed
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Qualifications
While not specified, a high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional certifications or licenses may be beneficial but are not mandatory.
